Six Steps to Recovery
Follow these simple steps for safe and effective myofascial release. Take your time and listen to your body.
-
1Prepare the Skin
Before using the Lina Tool, apply a small amount of body oil, balm, or lotion to the area you plan to treat. This reduces friction and allows for smooth gliding across the skin.
Tip: Choose a product with clean ingredients to match the tool’s intentional design. -
2Position the Tool
Hold the Lina Tool in your dominant hand and angle it approximately 30 to 45 degrees against the skin. The beveled edge should make full contact, not just the tip.
You should feel grounded contact, not sharp pressure. -
3Use Long, Smooth Strokes
Glide the tool in one direction, following the length of the muscle. Start with gentle to moderate pressure and increase only if comfortable. Avoid fast or erratic movement. Slow, mindful scraping is most effective.
Do not scrape back and forth. Always reset your stroke at the starting point. -
4Focus on Tension Points
As you glide, you may notice areas of resistance, soreness, or “gritty” texture. These are trigger zones where adhesions or tight fascia may exist. Spend a few extra passes here using light, rhythmic strokes.
You can work an area for 30–60 seconds depending on your comfort level. -
5Skip Bony Areas
The Lina Tool is designed for soft tissue. Avoid scraping over bones, joints, tendons, or areas with visible swelling, bruising, or broken skin.
Common areas to avoid: spine, elbows, knees, ankles. -
6Reconnect with Movement
After use, move your body. Walk, stretch, or perform light mobility work. You may feel increased blood flow, improved range of motion, or light soreness the next day.
You’ve just supported your body’s natural recovery process. Now return to what you love, feeling aligned and restored.
